[4000] - No Restriction Sixes Rulebook⚓︎

[4001] - Format Rules⚓︎

All Rules listed herein this Rulebook will apply to both regular season play and any cup unless otherwise specified in their respective annoucement articles.

Teams are required to play with 6 players per team during matches. If a team is unable to field 6 players, then the team may choose to play 5v6. Teams with fewer than 5 players on the server must gather a rostered substitute or a ringer according to [1009] - Substitutes and Ringers.

[4001.1] - Class Limits⚓︎

There are no class limits inside of No Restriction 6v6.

[4001.2] - Item Whitelist⚓︎

Match servers must use the most current No Restriction 6v6 RGL item whitelist. There are NO current weapon bans. The NR6s whitelist bans certain taunts and action items. The entire whitelist can be found on Whitelist.tf

[4001.3] - Maps⚓︎

To see what maps are being played this season, visit the Matches page on the RGL website, where the map names will be listed in the header. Or alternatively, see the respective season or cup article.

[4001.4] - 5CP Rules⚓︎

Five Control Point maps (e.g. cp_snakewater_final, cp_process_final,etc.):

There is no timelimit. The winner will be the first team to have won four rounds total of continuous play with no half times. 5CP maps in NR6s use the config: rgl_mm_5cp.cfg

[1008.14] - Team Starting Sides to determine side color.

[4001.5] - KOTH Rules⚓︎

King of the Hill maps (e.g. koth_clearcut_b15d, koth_product_final, koth_bagel_rc6):

Matches are played as the first to score 4 rounds won (Or as a Best of 7 series). There is no timelimit. Multiple "halves" will likely be played. Play as many as required until one team scores 4 rounds won total between all halves.

KoTH maps in NR6s use the config: rgl_mm_koth.cfg Execute in console winlimit_# if you reach a total of 4 rounds won in the middle of a given half. (# = the number of rounds required to equal 4 rounds won minus what you've already won in past halves.

Example: You have played two halves in full with scores of (2-1) & (1-1). In a third half your team scores a round bringing the half's score to (1-0). This totals the map's score to (4-2) with your team winning. # should equal 1 in this example.

[1008.14] - Team Starting Sides to determine side color.

[4001.6] - Stopwatch Rules⚓︎

Stopwatch maps include Payload (e.g. pl_upward, pl_badwater, pl_vigil_rc10):

Matches are played in a best of three, so the first team to win two full halves will win the match. A half consists of each team playing 1 round attacking (blu) and 1 round defending (red). The winner of a half in stopwatch is who ever has the better time taken to cap all points. If the attacking team (blue) does not cap all points possible before the time expires, the defending team (red) only needs to cap the same number of points as blue did in a shorter amount of time to win that half.

Stopwatch maps in NR6s use the config: rgl_mm_stopwatch.cfg

[1008.14] - Team Starting Sides to determine side color.

[4001.7] - League Table⚓︎

During the regular season and cups, teams are ranked according to their win/loss record.

If there is a tie in match points, the tiebreakers for rank are (in this order):

  1. Teams sorted by a ratio of Rounds Won to Rounds Played (Note: For playoffs seeding, rounds won from bye weeks and forfeits are not included in this calculation.)
  2. Head-to-Head Winner (if teams played each other prior in the season or cup)
  3. Quality of Opponent / Strength of Schedule
    1. Median-Buchholz (used in Swiss divisions)
    2. Sonneborn-Berger
    3. Tiebreaker Score

[4001.8] - Forfeits and Penalties⚓︎

**Normal procedures regarding forfeits and penalties can be found under the global rulebook in [1008.7.1] - Match Forfeits. Deviations due to NR6s rulebook differences are noted here.**

Scoring/Procedure for Forfeits:
The opponent of a team that forfeits in match comms or Discord #support-ticket will be awarded 1 Round Won (RW) point with neither team being permitted the option to reschedule the respective match before the end of the regular non-Invite Season (Week 1 through Week 8). Teams MUST forfeit in match comms or Discord #support-ticket. Communicating the intent to forfeit in private messages/DMs only will be subject to admin approval/denial accordingly.
This type of forfeit is considered a “match comm forfeit”, meaning it is finalized once invoked.

Free Division Forfeit Penalties (NC & AM)

  • 1st forfeit: Minor penalty
  • 2nd forfeit: The team is expelled from the league for the season
  • Forfeits during playoffs: -50% prize earnings if applicable

Paid Division Forfeit Penalties (IM, Main, Adv, Inv)

  • 1st forfeit: Minor penalty
  • 2nd forfeit: Minor penalty
  • 3rd forfeit: The team is expelled from the league for the season
  • Forfeits during playoffs: -50% prize earnings if applicable

Each Major penalty results in the subtraction of 1.5 Rounds Won (RW) points from a team's record.

[4001.9] - Pauses⚓︎

Normal procedures regarding pauses can be found under the global rulebook in 1008.9 - Pauses . Deviations, if any, due to NR6s rulebook differences are noted here.
